I picked it up a few years ago and the only original part to it is the slave dial mechanism (1909 to 1918) model and the pendulum, everything else is not original (including the dial) and someone had tried to make it work by using a break beam sensor and home wound. The falling master pendulum gravity lever closed a pair of contacts in a second electrical circuit, which reset that lever and provided an electrical pulse back to the hit and miss synchronizer in the slave unit. This weekend I was up in my loft and noticed my parts Synchronome clock. #Synchronome master clock serial numbers serial#English novelist, in 1840-1841 in serial form in Master Humphreys Clock. Constructed by Albert George Jackson around 1905. This example was made by Synchronome Brisbane Australia. The impulse to the master pendulum was provided by the weight of the master pendulum's gravity lever (acting as a ) rolling off a wheel attached to the master pendulum, this mechanism ensuring that the master pendulum received an identical mechanical impulse every 30 seconds from the master pendulum gravity lever, at very close to precisely the same part of its stroke. My fully restored, nice and relatively rare Synchronome Master Clock, made in Brisbane Australia after Manufacturing Rights were bought from UK Synchronome, Frank Hope-Jones the founder. As it fell, the slave pendulum's gravity lever closed a switch which activated an electromagnet that reset (raised) the slave pendulum gravity lever and also sent a pulse of current to an electromagnet in the master unit which released a second gravity lever to give the master pendulum a push. #Synchronome master clock serial numbers serial numbers#Synchronome serial numbers main series V4.pdf. Driven by easy-to-maintain quartz movements, they require only a single AA (R6) battery. The slaves were not clocks, but merely displays synchronised to the master, and simply repeated the time it showed. Today, Synchronome offers stand-alone wall clocks that need no master. A long-case master clock was required to run the wall clocks, which were known as slave dials. Every 15 oscillations (30 seconds), this escapement released a gravity lever which gave the slave pendulum a push. Synchronome originally offered synchronised clock systems, as opposed to individual clocks. ![]() The slave clock had a mechanical using a 15-tooth count wheel which was moved forward each right-hand pendulum swing by a attached to the pendulum. ![]()
